FAQ
Booking & Consultations
-
Booking: How do I book a commission with you?
There is a consultation request form where you tell me a bit more information about your project. This includes budget, deadline, aesthetic, project type, etc.
After you submit the consultation form, I will reach out within 3-5 business days to schedule a consultation, ask clarifying questions, and/or clarify the scope.
-
Booking: What if I don't know exactly what I want?
No worries, we can work together to develop your vision! Please feel free to fill out the consultation request form or reach out to my email!
-
Consultations: What is a consultation?
For larger projects, a consultation is a 30-60 minute discussion about the project. This helps me to get to know you, your vision, and your goals. Larger projects may have multiple consultations, depending on the scope.
Smaller projects may have consultations which occur over email, and typically are not entitled to multiple consultations.
-
Consultations: What happens during a consultation?
Before a consultation, I read through your project idea (using the information you provide through the consultation request form) and make notes and sketches. At the consultation, we review my sketches together to make practical and aesthetic choices. We will finalize the cost, due dates/deadlines, and any additional information. Consultations may be held over Discord, Zoom, or in person (only available in some situations).
Payment & Shipping
-
Payment: When is payment due for customs?
50% of the payment is due within 72 hours of the first consultation, unless otherwise agreed upon. Upon project completion, I send a preview scan or a photograph of the custom. The final 50% payment is due before the final product is shipped or delivered.
-
Shipping: What service do you use to ship and deliver packages?
I typically use USPS, but I may also use UPS to ship.
-
Shipping: How much will shipping cost?
Shipping cost varies from project to project. Local projects may be available for pickup.
-
Shipping: Do you offer returns or refunds?
Please read my returns and refund policy!
Paper Mache & Custom Signs
-
Paper Mache: Isn't paper mache fragile? What makes your paper mache strong enough for regular use?
My paper mache build is very, VERY sturdy. Paper mache can be fragile, but it depends on what materials you build it with. I use 2 or more layers of recycled cardboard, wooden internal reinforcements, glue, and sealant. You can hammer your hand on my paper mache, and it does not give way!
-
Custom Signs: Can the custom signs be hung up or attached?
Yes! I can build several different mechanisms to allow you to hang your custom sign. We can discuss which of these options are best for you!
-
Custom Signs: Are the signs blue-light reactive/fluorescent?
Yes! All of my custom signs have at least some fluorescent sections, which will glow under blue light. This makes them perfect for the stage or merch booths!
Painting & Custom Clothes
-
Painting: What are your most-used supplies?
I use liquitex fluorescent acrylic paints. For fabric painting, I also use folk art textile medium!
-
Custom Clothes: How do I customize my own clothes or accessories?
More information on this is coming soon :)
